IIT Delhi Introduces New PG Courses In MBA, Humanities & More, Check List Here

In 2024, IIT Delhi diversified its programs with Executive MBA, Biomedical Engineering, M.Sc. in Biological Sciences, and more.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, once renowned solely for its engineering programs, now offers a diverse range of courses across various fields, including biological sciences and post-graduate programs in humanities. In 2024 alone, IIT Delhi introduced several new programs, including the Executive MBA and Biomedical Engineering.

Executive Master of Business Administration: In April 2024, IIT Delhi’s Department of Management Studies launched a two-year Executive MBA program for working professionals. Designed for mid-career executives with over three years of experience, it helps enhance skills, expand networks, and advance careers without a career break.

Healthcare Technology for Medical and Allied Clinical Professionals: The Centre for Biomedical Engineering (CBME) at IIT Delhi launched this program in October 2024, starting in January 2025. It integrates medical principles with advanced engineering to drive innovation in healthcare for clinical professionals.

MA in Culture, Society, and Thought: IIT Delhi’s Department of Humanities and Social Sciences introduced this course in March 2024 by. It explores themes of culture, society, and thought through sociology, literature, and philosophy. Admissions are based on GATE 2024 scores.

MSc in Biological Sciences: Launched in February 2024 by the Kusuma School of Biological Sciences at IIT Delhi, this two-year master’s program admits students through JAM 2024. The program offers 20 seats.

BTech in Design: The Department of Design at IIT Delhi introduced this four-year undergraduate program in August 2024, with admissions through JEE Advanced rankings. The program focuses on technologies, design thinking, research methods, and teamwork.

PhD Program in Energy and Sustainability: In December 2024, IIT Delhi launched a PhD program at its new international campus in Abu Dhabi, focusing on Energy and Sustainability. The program addresses key issues related to NetZero targets, including renewable energy, decarbonization, microgrids, and AI in energy transitions.

Joint PhD Program with the University of Queensland: IIT Delhi, in collaboration with the University of Queensland, introduced a Joint PhD program through the UQ-IIT Delhi Research Academy (UQIDAR).
