SA vs IND 2023, 3 T20Is: Broadcast, Live Streaming details: When and where to watch in India, USA, UK, South Africa & other countries

Fresh off a resounding victory (4-1) against Australia in the recently concluded T20I series, Team India is now setting its sights on the upcoming challenge – a comprehensive series against the hosts South Africa, set to kick off this Sunday.

The clash between India and South Africa promises to be a closely contested battle, with both teams boasting formidable T20I records. In their 24 previous encounters, India have emerged victorious in 13 matches, while South Africa have secured 10 wins. A single match ended without a result, underscoring the competitive nature of their encounters.

In the last five T20Is with results between India and South Africa, India have clinched victory in three games, while South Africa have triumphed in two. This closely fought record adds an extra layer of intrigue to the upcoming three-match series.

“We have played a lot against the new faces [in domestic cricket], but I suppose you’d like to know them better on a deeper level before going into a series with them,” said the Proteas skipper Aiden Markram ahead of the series opener in Durban.

“But we have had a few good days together getting to understand what gets them to tick.

“I suppose that is the nature of cricket nowadays, series come thick and fast and there will be stages where new guys come in and they are going to have to find their feet quickly,” added Markram.

“The guys I’m watching in T20 cricket right now are very expressive. They don’t have a lot of fear of failure. Whatever happens – if they do well or if they don’t get runs on that given day – their attitude remains the same on and off the field. That balance is really important when you play this sport,” commented Team India captain Suryakumar Yadav on the irresistible spontaneity displayed by the younger players in T20 cricket.
