Shehzada Dhami and Pratiksha Honmukhe who portrayed the role of Armaan and Ruhi in the show have been terminated due to their unprofessional behaviour.
TV serial Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) is one of the longest running TV shows in the country. The show first aired in 2009 with stars Hina Khan and Karan Mehra in the lead as Akshara and Natik, followed by Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan. The TV show has stitched its place in audience hearts for many years. Now, in a shocking turn of events it has been reported that Shehzada Dhami and Pratiksha Honmukhe who portrayed the role of Armaan and Ruhi in the show have been terminated due to their unprofessional behaviour.
As per several media reports, Shehzada used to mistreat the crew on the sets of YRKKH since the beginning and despite several efforts to address the issue his behaviour didn’t changed which disrupted the atmosphere on the sets. Pratiksha, on the other hand, was not matching up the expectations required for the character.
The producer of the show Rajan Shahi arrived at the sets and had put an end to it, a source told Pinkvilla. He stated that the producer asked both Shehzada and Pratiksha to leave the sets within fifteen minutes which left the whole crew shocked.
Talking to Pinkvilla, senior actor Shruti Ulfat, who plays the role of Vidya Poddar in the show lauded Shahi’s decision of terminating Shehzada and Pratishka from the show.
She said, “I think the decision is right and in favour of the entire unit. Rajan is very calm in nature and he gave them (Shehzada and Pratiksha) many chances but things didn’t improve and it continued to hamper the harmony of the sets and he was left with no other choice but to terminate them. It will be a lesson for those, who take things for granted.”
Talking about Shehzada and Pratiksha, Ulfta further told Pinkvilla that they never used to mingle with other people on the sets. “During lunch breaks, all cast used to eat together except both of them.” However, Shehzada and Pratishka have still not commented on it.
Since November 2023, YRKKH starred Samridhii Shukla and Shehzada in the lead roles as the fourth generation.
