In 2022, Abhijeet Dwivedi of IIIT Lucknow drew widespread notice for securing the most lucrative job offer ever extended by the institute. Traditionally, salaries exceeding Rs 1 crore are associated with graduates from esteemed institutions such as IITs and IIMs. However, Abhijeet’s remarkable accomplishment shattered this trend.

Abhijeet got a job offer of Rs 1.2 crore from Amazon, the big online shopping company. Now, he works as a software engineer in Dublin, Ireland, as stated on his LinkedIn profile. Before getting his dream job, Abhijeet worked as a trainee software engineer at companies like Upstox and Trifacta.

In his final year at IIIT studying Information Technology, Abhijeet received a job offer from Amazon. Reflecting on his success, Abhijeet shared that besides technical know-how, his interpersonal skills played a crucial role in securing the job.

When preparing for job interviews, Abhijeet focused on getting better at talking and using good body language. He believes these skills are as crucial as knowing technical things for his job. Abhijeet also mentioned that befriending older students helped him find out about job opportunities and get helpful advice for interviews.

In his final year at IIIT, Abhijeet Dwivedi got a job offer from Amazon. He explained that his success came from improving both technical skills and soft skills. Abhijeet believes that being able to communicate effectively is just as important as having technical knowledge for his job.
