What’s Minimum Age To Enrol Students In Kendriya Vidyalaya Class 1

KV has set an age limit for students enrolling in Class 1.

The admission procedure is set to kickstart in Kendriya Vidyalaya soon.

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, a group of central government schools in India falling under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, is renowned for its academic excellence. However, securing admission to these schools is not an easy task, with even a minor error in the entrance exam form leading to cancellation of admission. As the KV schools gear up to commence the enrollment procedure for Class 1, parents must be aware of the minimum age requirement for admission.

To enrol in Class 1 of Kendriya Vidyalaya, the child must be at least 6 years old. Admission forms for students younger than this age will be rejected. However, forms for students turning 6 by April 1 will be accepted. Notably, there is no fixed minimum or maximum age limit for students enrolling in Classes 9 and 11.

As for the commencement of the admission process, while it has not yet begun for the 2024-25 academic year, reports suggest that enrollment may start from March 27, 2024. Parents are expected to apply online through the official website www.kvsangathan.nic.in. The enrollment process is likely to conclude on April 17. It’s important to mention that Kendriya Vidyalaya does not accept admission forms from Non-Resident Indians (NRIs).

Operated by the Ministry of Education of the Central Government, Kendriya Vidyalayas boast a total of 1,243 schools across different states of India. Additionally, there are three KVs in Kathmandu, Moscow and Tehran, all affiliated with the CBSE Board.

Parents keen on securing admission for their children in Kendriya Vidyalaya for the upcoming academic year must adhere to the specified age criteria and stay updated with the official website for any announcements regarding the admission process. With its reputation for providing quality education, Kendriya Vidyalaya continues to be a preferred choice for many Indian families seeking a strong academic foundation for their children.
