The RRC ECR recruitment for 2024 aims to fill 31 sportsperson vacancies in HQ/ECR Hajipur and an additional 25 sportsperson vacancies in level 1 across the 5 divisions of East Central Railway
The Railway Recruitment Cell, East Central Railway (RRC ECR), has announced recruitment for the year 2024. The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 56 sportsperson vacancies, with applications invited through the official website at ecr.indianrailways.gov.in. The deadline for submission of application forms is set for February 26, 2024.
Applicants from Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Mizoram, Tripura, J&K, Sikkim, Lahaul & Spiti districts, Andaman & Nicobar & Lakshadweep islands, and Pangi subdivisions of Chamba districts in Himachal Pradesh have an extended deadline until March 11, 2024.
Vacancy Details:
The RRC ECR recruitment for 2024 aims to fill 31 sportsperson vacancies in HQ/ECR Hajipur and an additional 25 sportsperson vacancies in level 1 across the 5 divisions of East Central Railway.
Eligibility Criteria:
Age Limit: The age range for applicants is from 18 to 25 years old.
Educational Qualifications:
For Pay Level 4/5: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.
For Pay Level ⅔: 12th pass or equivalent, or matriculation with completed Act Apprenticeship, or matriculation with ITI approved by NVCT/SCVT. Candidates who have passed 10th from a recognized board may also be eligible for Tech III positions, subject to a training period of 3 years unless they possess ITI in the relevant trade, in which case it will be 6 months.
For Pay Level 1: Class 10th pass from a recognized board, or ITI or equivalent, or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
Application Fee:
Candidates applying under the UR/OBC category are required to pay an examination fee of Rs 500, while candidates belonging to SC, ST, Ex. Servicemen, Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), Women, Minorities, and Economic Backward Classes will pay Rs 250.

A notification was previously released by the Indian Railways to fill 1,832 vacancies within the organization. The last date to fill out the application form was December 9, 2023.
