The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has sought online applications for the position of assistant professor via its official website. The recruiting drive across the state will fill a total of 200 positions in various disciplines. The online application process will begin on January 22, 2024. Interested and eligible candidates should apply online for these positions by February 21, 2024, atrpsc.rajasthan.gov.in.

Candidates applying for the position should be between the ages of 21 and 40. The application fee for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD and other reserved categories is Rs 400, while General/Unreserved candidates must pay Rs 600.

Candidates need to have a Master’s degree in the relevant subject from a recognised Indian university or have an equivalent degree. Further, along with the degree, they need to qualify for the National Eligibility Test (NET) in order to be eligible for the posts.

The selection procedure will have two stages. Candidates will have to appear for a written test for 200 marks. Two papers of 75 marks each will be based on the subject concerned with the post. Both papers will be held for 3 hours. The third paper will be related to General studies. This paper entails 50 marks and will be administered for 2 hours.

In the second stage of the recruitment process, candidates will have to go through an interview worth 24 marks. The commission will call those candidates for interview who score the minimum qualifying marks in the written test. It must be noted that no candidate who fails to secure a minimum of 40 per cent in the written exam will be eligible for the second round.
