The Patna High Court will start the online registration process for the District Judge positions on December 22. Eligible Advocates can apply for direct recruitment by visiting the official website of Patna High Court at patnahighcourt.gov.in. Candidates should note that the deadline for the submission of the application form is until January 20.
Under this recruitment campaign, the court is aiming to recruit 30 candidates for the post of District Judge in the Patna High Court. The examination for the post of District Judge is scheduled to be conducted on March 31, 2024.
Patna High Court Recruitment 2023: Eligibility Criteria
Age limit: The candidate’s age applying for the post should be between the age cap 35 to 50 years as of January 1, 2023.
Any applicant who has not completed 7 years of practice on the last date of receipt of application and who does not give a declaration of appearance in at least 24 cases annually in the last three years, shall not be eligible for consideration for the appointment of District Judge.

Step 1: Candidates need to visit the court’s official website at patnahighcourt.gov.in.
Step 2: Look for and click on the link available on the homepage that reads, “Online Application for District Judge (Entry Level), Direct from Bar Exam-2023”
Step 3: Once done, candidates will be redirected to a new page where they have to click on “Apply for the post of District Judge (Entry Level), Direct from Bar – 2023” link
Step 4: Proceed with the application form, fill out the details as required
Step 5: Scan and upload all the required documents in the prescribed format
Step 6: Cross-check all the details and submit the application form
Step 7: For future records, save a copy and take a printout of the same.
Patna High Court Recruitment 2023: Application Fee
Candidates applying for the post of District Judge are required to pay Rs1500 as an examination fee at the time of registration. Whereas, candidates falling under Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Orthopedically Handicapped (OH) categories from Bihar will have to pay an application fee of Rs 750.
Patna High Court Recruitment 2023: Selection Process
The selection process for the post of District Judge will comprise the Written and Viva-Voce tests. The shortlisted candidate will also have to undergo a medical examination before the Medical Board to be constituted for the purpose that he/she is medically fit to perform duties as a Judicial Officer.
