NEET UG Result 2024 Update, Check Expected Cut Off Marks

NEET UG Result 2024: NTA will determine the percentage based on the highest marks obtained in the All India Common Merit List for the exam. There will be a slight drop in the cut-off across all categories this year

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Under Graduate (NEET UG) 2024 result on June 14. Along with the result, the NTA will also release the cut-off marks. Last year the NEET UG cut-off percentage for the general category was 50 for MBBS and BDS candidates and 40 for OBC, SC, and ST candidates. The result link will be activated on NTA’s official website exams.nta.ac.in/NEET-UG.

There are two types of NEET UG cut-off — qualifying cut off and admission cut off. To get admission to an MBBS course at an Indian medical college, it is necessary to be included in the cut-off list. Admission to foreign medical colleges is done through NEET UG qualifying cutoff marks.

NTA will determine the percentage based on the highest marks obtained in the All India Common Merit List for NEET UG 2024. There will be a slight drop in the cut-off across all categories this year. The cut-off for the general category may be around 720-130, and the cut-off for the SC category may be around 129-108. The cut-off for the ST category may be 128-106 and the cut-off for the OBC category may be 130-108. The cut-off for the general category in the year 2023 was 720-137 and in 2022, it was 715-117. The cut-off for SC, ST, and OBC candidates increased from 116-93 in 2022 to 136-107 in 2023.

This year, more than 24 lakh candidates appeared in the exam that was conducted on May 5. Its answer key was released on May 29 and medical candidates were given time till May 31 to raise objections against the provisional NEET UG answer key.

Every year lakhs of youth appear for the exam. After passing 12th in the science stream, it is necessary to pass NEET UG to get admission in MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, and other medical courses of top medical colleges. Last year, the NEET UG answer key was released on June 4 and the results were released on June 13.
