JEE Main 2024 Session 1 Result, Merit List to be Declared Today: Websites to Check

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the first session of JEE Main 2024 from January 24 to February 1. According to the official notification, the January session result is set to be announced today, February 12.

The JEE Main Session 1 Result 2024 will be released soon by NTA on its official websites:

– nta.ac.in, and

– jeemain.nta.ac.in.

The JEE Main 2024 cut-off will decide eligibility for JEE Advanced registration and admission to institutions like IITs, NITs, IIEST, IIITs, and other GFTIs. The JEE Main cutoff comes in two categories — the qualifying cutoff, issued by the NTA, and the admission cutoff, released by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) on behalf of participating institutes. Candidates can refer to previous year trends to anticipate the expected cutoff for JEE Main 2024.

JEE Main 2024 Session 1 Result: How to Check

Step 1: Visit the official website — jeemain.nta.ac.in.

Step 2: Click on the ‘JEE Main 2024 session 1 result’ link on the homepage.

Step 3: Log in with the required credentials. Submit.

Step 4: The result will appear on the screen.

In January 2024, NTA organised the JEE Main 2024 Session 1 across 544 centers spread across 291 cities, which also included 21 cities located outside India. Paper 1 for B.E./B.Tech was held on January 27, 29, 30, 31, and February 1, 2024, in two shifts: 9:00 am to noon and 3 pm to 6 pm. Paper 2 for B. Arch and B. Planning took place on January 24, 2024, in a single shift from 3 pm to 6:30 pm.

The JEE (Main) – 2024 Examination was conducted primarily in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. For B.E./B.Tech. (Paper 1), the entire exam was in CBT mode. For B.Arch. (Paper 2A): Mathematics and Aptitude were in CBT mode, and the Drawing test was in Pen & Paper (offline) mode. Similarly, for B.Planning (Paper 2B), all sections were in CBT mode.

The exam was held in 13 languages: Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. It was also held in 21 cities outside India, including Manama, Doha, Dubai, Kathmandu, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah, Singapore, Kuwait City, Kuala Lumpur, Lagos/Abuja, Colombo, Jakarta, Moscow, Ottawa, Port Louis, Bangkok, and Washington D.C.

JEE Main 2024 Session 1 Result: High Attendance Rate

As per the data released by NTA, 95.8 per cent of the registered candidates participated in Paper 1 (BE/BTech) during the JEE Main January 2024 exam. This represents one of the highest attendance rates ever recorded for the JEE Main, as stated by NTA. Out of the 12,21,615 candidates who registered for JEE Main Paper 1, an impressive 11,70,036 candidates appeared for the exam. Additionally, for the JEE Main session 1 BArch / B.Planning paper, 55,493 candidates out of the total 74,002 registered candidates took the exam.
