India And Nepal Agree On New Train Service Connecting Ayodhya And Janakpur

Nepal Railways Director General Niranjan Jha said that a proposal to run a train from Janakpur in Nepal to New Delhi via Ayodhya has been made to the Indian Ambassador to Nepal. An agreement has been reached on this. An official announcement will be made after a meeting between the officials of both countries. The train will run two days a week, which will benefit the passengers.

The Director General told Local 18 that the maintenance of the train from Janakpur to Ayodhya and the question of whether the frame of the train will belong to India or Nepal is yet to be decided.
