The Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) has begun the registration process for the HPSC HCS exam 2024 today, January 5, 2024. Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can visit the official website of the Haryana Public Service Commission at hpsc.gov.in and submit their applications for the HCS (Judicial Branch) Examination 2024.
Candidates must be aware that the registration window will remain open until January 31, 2024. However, the preliminary examination will be conducted by the commission on March 3, 2024. This recruitment campaign is being conducted to fill up a total of 174 civil judge positions in the organisation.
HPSC HCS Exam 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Candidates who possess a Bachelor of Law degree from a university established by the law and approved or recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI) can apply for the HCS (Judicial Branch) Examination 2024.
Age limit: Candidates seeking the position must be between the age bracket of 21 and 42, on or before January 31, 2024. However, age relaxation will be provided to reserved category candidates.
HPSC HCS Exam 2024: How To Register
Step 1: Candidates need to go to the official website of the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) at hpsc.gov.in.
Step 2: Look for and click on the ‘Apply Online’ link designated for registration on the home page.
Step 3: Post this; a new page will be displayed where candidates can access the HPSC HCS Exam 2024 link.
Step 4: Register yourself by providing the essential information and login to your account.
Step 5: Once done, proceed to fill up the application form.
Step 6: Upload the scanned documents in the prescribed size and format and pay the application fees.
Step 7: Cross-check all the information and hit submit.
Step 8: Generate a hard copy of the submitted form and save it for further need.
HPSC HCS Exam 2024: Application fees
The male candidates belonging to the general category including dependent sons of E-servicemen of Haryana and of general categories and all reserved categories are required to pay Rs 1000 as an application fee at the time of registration. However, female candidates will have to pay Rs 250 as an application fee.
HPSC HCS Exam 2024: Selection Procedure
Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in a main written examination followed by an interview. However, preliminary examinations will be held for screening purposes only.
Talking about the exam pattern, the preliminary examination will be held for two hours. It comprises 125 questions, and each question shall carry 4 marks. There is a negative marking of 0.8 marks for every wrong answer, 20 per cent, or 1/5th marks, will be deducted.
