HBSE Board Exam 2024 to Commence Today; Section 144 to be Implemented Near Exam Centres

HBSE Board Exam 2024: Haryana School Education Board or HBSE is set to start the 10th and 12th examinations today, February 27. Education Board Chairman Dr VP Yadav said that for the successful conduct of the 10th and 12th examinations, Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) has been implemented around all the examination centres. The examination will be held at 1484 centers across the state in which 5,80,533 candidates will appear, Yadav added.

The Haryana board examination will be held in a single session from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm. He said that the candidates must ensure to reach the examination centres 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination, and follow the instructions given on the admit card. The use of electronic items like mobile phones, pagers, and other types of electronic equipment is prohibited at the examination centre.

The board exams will include 25 per cent objective-type questions, each carrying one mark. The board Chairman VP Yadav has said that around 96 per cent of the total questions across all four codes of the question papers will be identical, with a mere 4 per cent being different. He also added that the order of questions will vary in each code. The answer sheets for the upcoming Haryana Board Class 10th and 12th exams will undergo digital marking.

The Haryana Board class 10 board examination will end on March 26, 2024, and the class 12 board examination will conclude on April 2, 2024. This year, a total of 5,80,533 candidates are set to appear for the Haryana Board Examinations across 1,482 examination centres in the state. Out of the total, 3,03,869 students will appear for Class 10 board exams, and 2,21,484 for senior secondary examinations. Furthermore, 55,190 candidates will sit for the open school board exam, out of which 23,270 are for the secondary class and 31,910 for the senior secondary class.
