From Hina Khan To Nakuul Mehta, Television Celebrities Cast Their Vote In Mumbai

Hina Khan as a “proud Indian citizen who believes in the democratic process” wrapped up her voting duties.

The fifth phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 is underway. People from 49 constituencies across six states and two Union Territories are voting in the fifth phase today. As responsible citizens, several Bollywood and television celebrities have already cast their votes. From the cinema world, stars including Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Varun Dhawan, his father David Dhawan, Farhan and Zoya Akhtar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal among others have voted for their party of choice. Here is a list of prominent telly celebrities who also joined the voting bandwagon, sharing their experience on social media.

Hina Khan

Hina Khan as a “proud Indian citizen who believes in (the) democratic processes” wrapped up her voting duty. Sharing the news on Instagram, the actress wrote, “Exercising the most fundamental right we have as citizens is a unique feeling of belonging. I was extremely happy to see large numbers of people turning out and waiting in the queue patiently despite the crazy crazy humidity and heat of almost 40°C. Mumbai sure knows how to set the bar high.” She urged the masses to cast their votes as a part of their right and national duty. Dressed in an oversized white T-shirt with sunglasses and a black cap she showed her inked finger.

Nakuul Mehta

The Ishqbaaaz actor flaunted his inked finger on Instagram and flashed a joyous smile. He donned a pin-striped blue shirt in the picture and wrote “Jai Hind”.

Deepika Singh

Deepika Singh might have been busy with television shoots. But before heading out to the sets, she made sure to cast her vote. “Proud to say I cast my vote before heading to the set!” the Diya Aur Baati Hum actress wrote on Instagram. In the picture, she wore a pink printed outfit, and her hair was tied in a bun.

Divyanka Tripathi

Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actress Divyanka Tripathi dropped a snap on Instagram featuring her inked finger. She looked pretty in a pink floral kurta. “I’ve cast my vote. Did you?” Divyanka penned in her thoughtful caption.

Gurmeet Choudhary-Debina Bonnerjee

The Ramayana co-stars and real-life couple twinned in white ensembles as they stepped out in the heat to cast their votes. The celebrity pair wrote on Instagram, “We did our part and Voted,” and sported beaming smiles.

Karan V Grover

“Citizen K” read Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli actor Karab V Grover’s Instagram post. Displaying a one-eye wink in an off-white T-shirt, he exhibited his ink-drawn index finger.

Anupam Mittal

Shark Tank India judge Anupam Mittal dropped a post on Instagram, underlining that he completed his national duty of voting. Wearing a half-sleeved black jacket with peach-tinted sunglasses and a white cap, the Shaadi.com CEO flaunted his inked index finger to the camera. “Ungali karna zaroori hai. Hak se karna (Get finger-inked. Do it with your right.)”

Mugdha Chaphekar

On her Instagram Stories, the Kumkum Bhagya star reminded voters of their responsibility by writing, “It’s not a holiday. Go out and cast your votes.” A white collared shirt was her OOTD.
