Debina Bonnerjee On How She Planned Daughter Lianna’s Mermaid-Themed Birthday Bash

Debina Bonnerjee and Gurmeet Choudhary organised a mermaid-themed bash to celebrate their daughter Lianna’s second birthday. The birthday bash, which took place on April 5, was filled with a flurry of activities, celebrity appearances and beautiful mermaid decorations. Lianna stole the hearts of all attendees with her playful demeanour, which included trying on her mother’s stilettos and posing for photos with cheerful gestures.

However, what truly made this celebration stand out was the thoughtful selection of the mermaid theme by Debina. During an interview, the actress shared the inspiration behind choosing this theme for her daughter’s birthday extravaganza. Speaking to ETimes, Debina said, “Lianna is a huge water baby, so I decided to organise a mermaid-themed party and set up a small pool with boats and other outdoor activities. Planning involved a lot of thought, especially regarding baby-friendly food and drinks.”

Meanwhile, Gurmeet Choudhary shared that the decision to host the celebration two days after Lianna’s birthday was made to ensure everyone could enjoy the festivities without worrying about work the following day.

Debina frequently shares videos of herself with her daughters on her YouTube channel, Debina Decodes. Just a few hours ago, she offered a sneak peek into the birthday shopping spree she did for Lianna’s mermaid-themed party. In the video, Debina is seen navigating through the bustling local markets of Mumbai, showcasing an array of mermaid-inspired items including fancy erasers, hairbands, hats, trolley bags and more.

Several videos and photos documenting Lianna’s birthday celebration have surfaced on social media. One particular video captured an adorable family moment during the cake-cutting ceremony, featuring Gurmeet and Debina with their daughters, Lianna and Divisha. Gurmeet lovingly held Lianna as she cut the cake.

Debina and Gurmeet exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony in 2011. After 11 years of their wedding, the couple welcomed their first daughter, Lianna, in April 2022. Subsequently, in November 2022, they were overjoyed to welcome their second daughter, Divisha.
