CBSE Class 12 Topper Sanaa Shaikh Receives University Of British Columbia Scholarship

Sanaa Shaikh scored 99.4% in the CBSE Class 12 board exams.

Sanaa Shaikh said that the chance to explore psychology at the University Of British Columbia and discover new opportunities in Canada is really exciting.

Sanaa Shaikh, a student from Gurgaon, scored 99.4 per cent in the CBSE Class 12 board exams. Originally from Mumbai, she amazed many when she decided to choose humanities despite studying commerce and economics at Universal High School in Class 10. She went to DPS Gurugram for 11th and 12th grades.

From the start, she had an interest in humanities and loves writing. She now wants to pursue psychology and is passionate about the subject. Her parents work in the insurance sector. As per an India Today report, Sana said that she read all her books carefully and often likes to prepare notes for exam preparation. She believes that writing things down helps her to remember and understand the topics better.

Gaining support from her parents, who work at Bajaj Allianz in the insurance sector, her hard work and dedication paid off. Her outstanding marks in CBSE Class exams have gained recognition. Not only this, she has even got an offer from the prestigious University of British Columbia.

Talking about her plans for further education, Sanaa shared, “I’m leaning towards studying in Canada, especially in the field of psychology.” She also mentioned, “I’m thrilled about receiving a scholarship offer from the University of British Columbia.” Showing her excitement, she said, “The chance to explore psychology at UBC and discover new opportunities in Canada is really exciting.”

“I want to study psychology, especially learning about mental disorders and government rules about mental health and physical illnesses,” she said. Sanaa wants to discover how subjects including mental health, insurance rules, and physical health are interrelated.

She believes in learning psychology by doing research and learning practically from the experts. She aims to help people better understand how mental health affects society and healthcare.

Sana further said that managing her time was not that easy while preparing for her board exams. Hence, she set an alarm and began studying. This helped her decide how much time to invest in each subject. She believes segregating time is the key to getting better results. Sana credits her parents for helping her with time management.
