CBSE Class 10 Board Results: Rishu Kumar Tops Deoghar District With 98.8% Marks

Rishu Kumar got 98 marks in English subject, 100 in the Sanskrit language, 100 in Mathematics, and 98 in science as well as social science.

CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) on May 13 declared the results for classes 10th and 12th board examinations. The announcement came as a source of joy for many as their months of hard work proved to be greatly fruitful. One such student is Rishu Kumar who became the topper of Deoghar, Jharkhand.

Local18 reported that he has achieved a score of 98.8 per cent in his 10th CBSE board examination and secured the first position in the Deoghar district. Naturally, the family is in a state of immense happiness, as well as Rishu’s school.

Rishu Kumar completed his education at the Ramakrishna Mission School, Deoghar, where he lived in a hostel, he told Local18. He spent most of his time studying at the hostel. According to him, he set a personal goal and devoted 6 to 7 hours to complete that task. He stayed away from social media and focussed on what was important to him.

Rishu Kumar originally belongs to the Nalanda district and is the son of Sanjeev, who works as a clerk at the SDO office, while his mother Poonam Devi is a teacher. Both of them expressed happiness at their son’s huge achievement.

At the moment, Rishu’s focus is on the preparation of IIT JEE, which he is doing from Kota, Rajasthan. Although, his biggest goal in life is to qualify for the UPSC examination and work for his country. Talking about his scores, he got 98 marks in English subject, 100 in the Sanskrit language, 100 in Mathematics, and 98 in science as well as social science.

This year, the CBSE board decided to not release the top 10 list of toppers for matric, as it leads to unhealthy competition among the pupils.
