All the CBSE schools whose affiliation has been cancelled come under the Patna zone of the board. These include 26 schools of Bihar state and 10 schools of Jharkhand
The Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE has taken major action and canceled the recognition of 36 schools. All these schools come under the Patna zone of the board. According to the information, these include 26 schools of Bihar state and 10 schools of Jharkhand. The board has made the list of all these schools available on its website. Students and parents have also been warned about this.
Why was the affiliation cancelled?
The board says that all these schools were charging huge amounts from the students, but were not providing any facilities to the students in the name of education and arrangements. The board identified such schools through investigation and now taking major action, it has canceled the recognition of all such schools which were negligent.
However, CBSE has also taken care that the decision should not spoil the future of the students studying in these schools, hence the board has given the students here a chance to give the paper for the last time. Let us tell you that more than 7000 students have filled out the form for the board examination in these schools.
It is noteworthy that to get recognition from the CBSE Board, schools must follow certain criteria set by the Board. These are called CBSE Affiliation By-Laws. In these, there are rules regarding school infrastructure, lab, library, class size, quality of education, arrangement for extracurricular activities, and other things. Any school which does not fulfill these conditions, its recognition stands cancelled.

Meanwhile, the board had earlier withdrawn its affiliation from 25 government schools in Manipur. The CBSE, following the request of the schools, had given its affiliation to these schools, mostly in the state’s hill districts. Manipur’s Joint Secretary, Education (School), Anjali Chongtham said that the CBSE has withdrawn the affiliation on the grounds that the no-objection certificates submitted by these schools had not been issued by the authorised functionaries of the state government and following the request for cancellation of affiliation by the state government by its letter on December 15.
